Patricia Moore, longtime Bandera County Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director to retire. Moore has been the driving force behind the CVB for 30 years. An email sent to parents from Vista Camps in Kerr County, said the camp will install a new flood warning system ahead of next summer according to the Houston Chronicle. The email said that six warning towers are to be placed strategically around the camp grounds to provide early alerts about potential flooding. Ingram ISD continues the search for a new Superintendent. After the retirement of Bobby Templeton in June, Dr. Mindy Curran was appointed the Interim Superintendent. The 391 Commission also known as the HILL COUNTRY ENERGY SUB-REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION of Kendall and Kerr County, are meeting Tuesday. The meeting is at 1:00 p.m. at the Kendall County Courthouse, 201 E San Antonio Ave, 3rd floor in Boerne. On the agenda are updates on local battery energy storage systems, Communication and Coordination with Relevant State Agencies and other Government Officials and Gillespie County’s request to join the Commission.

KISD bus drivers receive the Pay it Forward Award from the Courage Project. They were awarded for their courage as they drove their school buses into rising waters to rescue campers from Camp La Junta, Mystic and Waldemar during the floods of July 4th. Debris collection in Kerr County following the July 4 flood disaster hits 1,697,394 cubic yards

Tom Moser, head of the Guadalupe River Flood Warning System updated Kerr County Commissioners on the project at their meeting on Tuesday. Moser said the plan includes a system of gauges and sensors that would alert those along the river with sirens and mass alert systems. The sensors would feed into a computer system that predicts what areas along the river basin are at risk of flooding. The system can then trigger specific sirens and "local warning systems" along the river.
