Kerr County - update on Flood Warning System
Tom Moser, head of the Guadalupe River Flood Warning System updated Kerr County Commissioners on the project at their meeting on Tuesday. Moser said the plan includes a system of gauges and sensors that would alert those along the river with sirens and mass alert systems. The sensors would feed into a computer system that predicts what areas along the river basin are at risk of flooding. The system can then trigger specific sirens and "local warning systems" along the river.
