100 TX Chaplains say no to school chaplain programs

One of the many laws going into effect Friday September first is requiring school districts to vote for a chaplain program or not. 100 Texas Chaplains are urging schools boards not to establish a program. The Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty and Interfaith Alliance and Texas Impact believe they could cause divisiveness. Plus, they also believe the funding of such a program would take funding from services needing trained professionals. See their concerns at bjconline.org.
