Bandera County Commissioners reviewed proposals for demolition and cleanup at the old jail and courthouse reports the Bandera Bulletin. The commissioners met on Thursday to review at least 7 proposals. Many of the contractors showed up at a pre-bid meeting in January to tour the buildings. The demolition is for structural attachments inconsistent with the original design. They have been Unused for at more than 10 years. The buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. And they are also jointly designated by the Texas Historical Commission as a state antiquities landmark.
