On Monday, Boerne’s Fire Department Water Rescue Team recovered a body from Boerne City Lake. The person was a 25 year old Afghani refugee named Mohammed Salem. Reports the Boerne Star. Salem had come from San Antonio with a group of people. On Sunday, he waded into the lake and reached a 20 foot drop and went under. Bystanders were unable to rescue him.
