Camp Bullis - prescribed burns

If you’re a resident near Boerne and Fair Oaks, be aware that prescribed burns may be taking place at JBSA-Camp Bullis starting today as weather conditions allow. The burns are necessary to reduce dead vegetation and thick brush. The risk of future potentially catastrophic wildfire will lessen due to the burns. Residents near or between I10 and Ralph Fair road can expect to see or smell smoke in the area. Evaluation of conditions daily will occur prior to burning. The burns expected to continue through next Tuesday.
