Child ID kits lose funding

The Texas Legislature pulled funding for child ID kits from the National Child Identification Program, a Waco based company. The company was set to receive 5.7 million dollars. An investigation from the Texas Tribune and ProPublica showed that the kits were not effective in finding missing children.
