Comfort - former teacher/coach sentenced to 4 years/10 year probation

Former Comfort teacher and coach receives 4 years for sexual misconduct with a student. Tye Britton Rexrode, 39 was sentenced last week for one charge of an improper relationship between an educator and student. An investigation into allegations against Rexrode, started in February in 2024. The investigation found that not only was the former teacher having a sexual relationship with a 17 year old, he was using social media to contact multiple underage girls. After his sentencing term ends, the court assigned a 10 year probation period for a second charge with a no-contact order in place. He is not allowed to coach girls teams or engage with teen girls.
