In October, ERCOT asked for RFP’s or request for proposal from software and services companies. ERCOT’s reason was to Increase Operating Reserves in Preparation for Winter of 2023/2024. The deadline date was for Monday November 6th. Due to limited response, the RFP is cancelled. ERCOT states it was for an extra layer of preparedness. They are not anticipating emergency conditions this winter. And say they have adequate resources to meet demand.
