Gillespie County Eclipse numbers are in. They didn’t get the 100 thousand visitors as expected. Cell phone connections were tracked. But many visitors stayed longer after the eclipse. Local businesses reported higher than normal business. According to the President of the Fredericksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau Brady Closson, Gillespie County had close to 52 thousand visitors. Fredericksburg had close to 30 thousand.
