HOT Funds code change

Small towns will suffer a devastating loss of hotel occupancy tax funds for historic preservation. A town with 150 thousand people could use up to 50 percent of HOT funds for preservation now it’s 3 percent. The 3 percent is regardless of population. There’s a change in the HOT funds code that will take effect September 1st.
