Kendall Co Sheriff to get new AC

Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the County Jail will soon see some cooler indoor temperatures. The Commission approved a 3.65 million dollar request for an overhaul for air conditioning units. The request was declared an emergency. So, it bypassed the competitive bid process. Problems have persisted since the installation in 2019. The county is suing the previous AC installer for the alleged faulty work.
