A 1.6-mile reclaimed-water pipeline in Kerrville to send treated effluent into Elm Creek and farther downstream into Nimitz Lake. The planned pipeline could dump up to 500 thousand gallons a day of treated wastewater into the surface waters at Elm Creek Park, flowing into Nimitz Lake, a part of the Guadalupe River. The reclaimed water pipeline would cost a little over 3 million dollars. A Request for Proposals has been approved submission for project design. The Elm Creek pipeline, according to Kerrville officials would bolster long-term drinking-water supplies as the Hill Country continues to suffer through continued dry conditions.
