RGK Ranch sold to Travis County for park

Another chunk of land in Texas skirts development. The RGK Ranch’s 15 hundred acres was sold to Travis County for 90 million dollars for a park. The purchase is part of a 276 million dollar bond for parks and land acquisition. Owner Nadya Scott was offered 130 million by a development company. Instead, she’s selling it to Travis County plus donating 30 million dollars of her family’s share to bring the sale price in at a competitive level. Reports The Austin Monitor.
