Tarpley - Camp OTX contested case hearing

The Camp OTX (RR 417) Contested Case Hearing starts today through Friday at the State Office of Administrative Hearings in Austin.   You can attend in person or view the proceedings on YouTube starting at 9:00am each morning.  In 2023, the camp in Tarpley applied for permits for 2 high volume well projects. According to Friends of Hondo Canyon, the permits are asking for triple the amount of water to be withdrawn from the aquifers. In September, the Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater Board unanimously voted to refer the matter to a contested case hearing in Austin.
