Ice the plans, Stay Home If you can!

Just a short blog today to remind us all to use our common sense. If you live anywhere within the sound of my voice on the Ranch Roundup on 92.3 FM (10 counties and nearly a million people), chances are you're experiencing the coldest weather in the Texas Hill Country in over 3 decades! As I look at the Ranch Radar Weather Forecast as I'm writing we are in the midst of mid 20s temps and a Severe Winter Storm Warning and its going to get worse before it gets better. In the single digits the next couple nights and not getting above freezing during the day until Wednesday afternoon Feb 17 and even then there's a possibility of freezing rain. Roads are icy and temps are deadly cold so PLEASE STAY HOME if at all possible. Don't risk your life and lets not over stress our brave first responders that we are so thankful for!

Be listening all weekend for updates from Dan Holiday and his weather team and wake up next week starting Monday and I'll keep you informed as to all that's going on with Jen Austin, Texas State News, Dan Holiday and the Ranch Roundup crew. If you need more road info, I'd suggest https://drivetexas.org Otherwise we'll keep you updated on the radio and on social media. We love you and all our listeners so stay safe, keep warm, and thank you for listening to 92.3FM The Ranch KRNH
