Houston Stock Show and Rodeo grant 500K to help Kerr County FFA and 4-H
Kerr County FFA student, Ruger Reeves makes plea for help and the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo responds. The Kerr County Junior Live Stock Show and Rodeo faces peril as their fundraiser was cancelled and their show space is still occupied by the state of Texas. Ruger wrote letters to various organizations and explained the plight of Kerr County students participation in Stock Show and rodeo. Houston answered with a half a million dollar donation, presented in Kerrville.

Fair Oaks - Traffic signal outage
Traffic Notice: Signal Outage at I-10 & Fair Oaks Parkway in Fair Oaks Ranch. A developer damaged the signal control system, causing the lights to stop working. TxDOT is aware and is deploying a temporary fix. Until repairs are complete, the signals on both sides of the intersection are not operating. Please slow down, be prepared to stop, and follow any posted signs or directions from law enforcement. The City will post updates on their Facebook page.

Llano Co - resolution against transmission lines project
Llano County Commissioners vote for a resolution against the Bell County East – Big Hill 765 kv transmission line according to the dailytrib.com . Llano joins Burnet County in opposition to the project. Although lines are not set to run through Llano County, they are subject to a line re-route in the future. The 765 transmission line is the largest of its kind and will run 200 miles from Bell County to Schleicher County in order to power the Permian Basin.

A 6 th  family has filed a lawsuit against Camp Mystic. The Peck’s lost their daughter in the July 4 th  flood. The lawsuit was filed by Howry Breen and Herman LLP, Austin. Today is Veteran’s Day. Kerr County is inviting the public to the dedication of 550 Earl Garrett Street, to be known as the Burton Annex at 3pm. The building housing the Veterans Service Office will be dedicated to Allie Bowman Burton Jr., a decorated military hero serving in multiple wars. Colonel Burton is still living at 101 years of age.

Kerrville - VFW Post 1480 re-opens on Veterans Day
During the July 4 th  flood, VFW Post 1480, Kerrville was severely damaged yet they continued to serve veterans. Although, there is still some work left to do, the post re-opens today.
