Voters, the reason your voter registration cards are delayed are because of legal challenges of the redistricted Congressional maps. The Texas Master Naturalist Hill Country Chapter has received a funding award for 4 thousand dollars. The Pollinators for Texas project granted the award to support native pollinators with the YMCA Roberts Ranch Pollinator Garden project which helps activate local youth and their families in hands-on learning.

Boerne financial advisory working on a plea deal
Financial Advisor Brooklyn Chandler Willy, a Boerne resident, is working on a plea deal for 2 criminal charges against her. According to the Express News, the plea could keep her out of federal Court. Although, she’s facing 2 criminal charges, Willy is facing 18 felony counts including wire fraud and securities fraud. Comfort - revitalization plan
Kendall County Commissioners Court agrees to fund a study to help revitalize Comfort’s downtown. According to the Boerne Star, a group of Comfort organizations are seeking to revitalize the downtown through an assessment plan. With the help of the Kendall County Economic Development Corporation and the Commissioners Court, they will fund a consultant to work with the businesses. Comfort suffered business setbacks with the Covid pandemic and the recent July 4 th floods.

Boerne Cemetery upgrades
Upgrades coming to Boerne Cemetery this Spring. The cemetery owned by the City of Boerne is maintained by Parks and Recreation. An inventory of all headstones is part of the plan along with resetting or securing headstones. Trees with oak wilt are to be removed.

FEMA funds for TDEM - for Hurricane Harvey

Burnet Co - 391 Commission for Transmission Lines
Burnet County may be looking into a 391 Commission similar to the one formed by Kerr, Kendall and Gillespie Counties. Instead of combatting Battery Energy Storage Systems, Burnet is considering a similar intergovernmental commission to combat the Bell County East to Big Hill 765 kilovolt transmission lines. Junction - DPS releases more info on weekend pile-up
DPS releases more information about the pile-up accident in Kimble County Saturday night. 12 vehicles were involved not 20 as initially reported. One person died at the scene. That person was a 56 year old Florida man, Robert Tracy. 8 people were injured. A vehicle hit Tracy’s truck which pushed him into a ditch.
