Kerrville-Kerr County Joint Airport Board now has the necessary approvals to build a new hangar at the Kerrville-Kerr County Airport. The hangar is a $2 to $2.5 million project and will be built as a large corporate hangar which will attract larger corporate jets. Plans are underway and the hangar could be ready by the fall.

Kerr County releases thousands of records showing the response of county authorities to the July 4 th flooding. Communications from Judge Rob Kelley to Dub Thomas, Emergency Management Coordinator, Sheriff Larry Leitha and others were released showing Kelley texted the county’s spokesperson around 8 a.m. July 4, saying it’s a “s--- show out west,” referring to the western part of the county. Hill Country VFDs receiving funding
Congratulations in order for Castle Lake Ranch VFD, Bandera County and Mountain Home VFD, Kerr County each received third round funding from the Texas A&M Forest Service . The Forest Service approved an additional $14 million in grants to Texas volunteer fire departments through the Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program last Friday. The 2 VFDs received 25 thousand dollars for PPE or Personal Protective Equipment and 10 thousand dollars for Training Aids.

Bandera - monthly flood warning test
Starting Wednesday March 4 th , Bandera citizens will soon be hearing flood warning test sirens every first Wednesday of the month. According to the Daily Prophet, Bandera’s Public Works Director said that more citizen feedback is needed. The last siren test was in July of 2025. The siren installed in the 1940’s has to be manually activated.

FBG - Glockenspiel Project approval
Marktplatz Glockenspiel Project Approved by the Fredericksburg Market Square Council. The Council unanimously approved an agreement with the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance to design and construct a new Glockenspiel at Marktplatz.
