Sisterdale’s annual Mexican Supper is next Saturday, March 7. The Sisterdale Chamber of Commerce is hosting at the Sisterdale Fire House from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tamales, chili, rice, beans and dessert are on the menu. The meal is by donation. The Sisterdale Chamber of Commerce organized in 1947 holds the supper each year near the anniversary of Texas Independence Day. All proceeds benefit the preservation of the Sisterdale School House.

Road repairs in Fredericksburg starts today in the 1000   block of South Adams Street, from Highway 16 South to Highway Street.  The City’s Street Department are conducting the road repairs today through Friday   between 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day.  No thru traffic will be allowed in the work zone during these hours.

Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick urging the Department of State Health Services to not renew the license for Camp Mystic for this summer. Patrick wrote in a letter to DSHS Commissioner Jennifer Shuford. “It would be naive to allow Camp Mystic to return to normal operations before all of the facts are known.”  25 campers and 2 counselors died along with the owner Dick Eastland during the flood of July 4th.  The camp’s license is valid until March 6, according to the suit. TxDOT closed the left lane of the westbound I-10 access road from  La Cantera Parkway  to Rim Drive starting yesterday. Expect this section to be closed through late spring as crews complete drainage work.

Demonstration against ICE in Ingram on Sunday according to the Daily Times. The Group Hill Country Resistance put out a social media message about the demonstration on Saturday.   The group claims that Ingram’s fire department, city and Police Department locked up the public parking they agreed to "allow" them to use before they left for the week. Hill Country schools were included in a series of swatting threats made across the nation recently.  Yesterday morning, staff at Boerne High School received a voicemail that contained a bomb threat to that campus. Federal, state, and local resources were immediately deployed in response to the threat. Incoming buses and other traffic were diverted to Champion High School. After a thorough search of the building, law enforcement determined the campus was safe to resume classes

Center Point ISD cancelled classes Wednesday due to the unavailability of water. The district’s water provider is Aqua Texas. The company hauled in water and issued a boil water notice. Each campus is supplied with bottled water for now as classes resume today.
