Fredericksburg City Council spent their meeting amending city codes for businesses not clearly defined. City staff added sexually oriented businesses, vape shops, game of skill parlors and tattoo studios to the C2 commercial zoning ordinance. Kerrville - MOWA America 250
Busy week for the legendary Museum of Western Art in Kerrville. Ribbon cutting ceremony at for the Tribute Garden for those lost in the July 4 th floods. The museum has kicked off a massive celebration with their Stars, Stripes, & States exhibit as part of the nationwide America 250 celebration. Legacy Elementary School in Uvalde reportedly received a threat on Wednesday. Uvalde County Law Enforcement confirmed the report was a hoax. Legacy is the replacement school for Robb Elementary. Although the threat was for a Uvalde school, Utopia ISD is in Uvalde County so, the school had extra law enforcement presence.

Burnet - flood buyback
Owners of 13 properties in Burnet could get flood relief in regards to their damaged properties. According to dailytrib.com , Burnet’s City Council authorized a flood buyout program this week in tandem with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. The Emergency Watershed Protection Program will assist the city in purchasing flood damaged properties. Burnet is the first Texas city to undergo an NRCS buyout.

Arturo Ramon - fundraiser
Following the flood, thousands of people came to the Hill Country to help and serve. One of them was Arturo Ramon the second who hailed from the Rio Grande Valley. According to the Bandera Bulletin, a grant is funding the cameras and the grant is the contract says City Attorney Matt Groves in response to Mayor Pro-tem Deanna McCabe’s question of an approved contract.
